One of the most life-changing events in my life had to do with my very first trip back to
Argentina. I was originally born in Argentina, right in the capital city of Buenos Aires and
later moved to the United States a couple months after my third birthday. While
most of my memories from that time are fuzzy, I do remember areas of the
capital and different areas of the shopping districts. After almost 12 years of living here, my family
had finally planned to visit our home country once again. I was ecstatic! I had
always heard so many great things from my family but now it was finally time to
experience it all on my own account. And the trip did not disappoint in the
slightest. The sights to see, the magnificent cities such as Mendoza, Cordoba, Buenos Aires to visit, the thrilling night-life and huge clubs to go to, and best of all
the people themselves. The way they carried themselves, in a classy manner with
a slight touch of arrogance and incredible pride was just fascinating to me. It felt great to finally be around a type of people who acted just like me. Unfortunately, the days I spent over there
seemed to just fly by right up to the day where it was time to go back home to the
US. I remember just wanting to stay in Argentina and living out my life there. When I finally did get back home to the US, a new more prideful and arrogant side came out of me. Argentineans have this belief that we are better than anyone else from any other country, something that makes other people turn against us. In any case, that belief and mindset became a part of me as well which changed my personality a lot after I came back. Before the first trip, I used to be a lot calmer and more reserved but after the trip, my more outgoing and expressive side finally showed which was a huge and important change in my life.
